There is a distinction between efforts to improve the world and helping people. This is a vague distinction, and is not critical.

The meaning behind a better world is primarily the far future with lessening priority up to present day. People will benefit generally equally, regardless of location, race, condition, or other characteristics. Generally, people in the far future will benefit more than people in the near future. It is possible that present day people may not benefit, or very little.

Better world is about the entire world in the future. Helping people is about people who already exist, or will exist in the near future, and is targeted at a specific group or people with a certain characteristic, problem, or condition.

Ways to join in helping make the world a better place :

• independent direct (in)actions, effectively planned and managed - see the topic action requests
